Service was wonderful. Polite and attentive to our needs. Food was amazing. We had the chicken pot pie and meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Large servings and very fair prices . The cheesecake was delicious. The outdoor porch atmosphere made it all the better!

We dined in for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 10AM and did not have to wait to be seated. My mom ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, and I ordered the half stack of pancakes with a side of bacon. The gravy was listed on the menu as a sausage gravy, but it did not taste like a typical sausage gravy (the meat in it didn’t really taste like sausage at all to be completely honest). Neither of us liked the gravy, but we thought the biscuits were great without it. The pancakes that I ordered on the other hand were delicious and absolutely HUGE! I was thankful that I ordered the half stack rather than the full stack. Overall, this was a great place to grab breakfast in Waynesville before the antique shops opened for the day. Our waitress was also helpful in recommending places to check out.

My husband and I stayed one night here this past weekend for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Cardinal Room, which was clean and well decorated with a comfortable bed. There were lots of yummy looking treats outside the room as well as a mini fridge. We were treated with free breakfast in the morning in the restaurant on the main floor. The restaurant is so quaint, cozy, and clean. We both had biscuits and gravy with fried eggs and bacon and it was delicious! The service all around was great and our waitress in the restaurant was wonderful and shared some history and ghost stories with us! My husband loved the historical reading materials found around the property. With the location being on Main Street it is perfect for walking around and visiting all the shops. I do wish we had realized everything closes at 5:00 even on a Saturday. Everything was really wonderful! The only complaint we would have is that there was barely any hot water in the morning when we took showers and there is a patio area off of the rooms upstairs that is really a great feature and we did still enjoy it, although it had not been touched yet for the warm season. The furniture was all over, nothing had been swept or dusted off. I chose to dust off the furniture myself and we did still enjoy the space. Overall we highly recommend The Hammel House! We appreciate the lovely room, restaurant, and service, for great memories made!

I ate here today with my best friend for the first time. Makayla(not sure if this is the correct spelling)was amazing as our server, so sweet and accommodating even though they were busy. I got the Mediterranean Grilled Veggie wrap and it was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I would highly recommend. Quality food and service with a great price. The atmosphere was lovely (we dined on the patio). Would definitely recommend, I drove a half hour and have no regrets!

Went there to eat today and I was so impressed, got the Mac and Cheese balls, and they were delicious!! I also got the chicken sandwich, and the buttermilk chicken was amazing! For dessert, I got their homemade chocolate cake and it was unbelievable, the portion was so big me and my girlfriend could barely finish it. Overall, a great experience, I would give more than 5 if I could. I definitely would recommend this place, and I’ll be back!

The Hammel House Inn has an outdoor patio that is more than just dog friendly! Before doing anything else, the waitress brought out a water bowl for our golden retriever. Easy access to the porch from the street, grassy area across the street. As you can see from the images, there are both fans and heaters on the covered patio, making this an option in different types of weather. Then the food! Pretty traditional American dishes, with large portions and great flavor, at a reasonable $14-18 for dinner. I got the meatloaf dinner, and it was juicy, tender, fully cooked, delicious, and a big portion dinner for $15. The appetizer and other meals were similarly great value.

The place is absolutely wonderful! We met friends for dinner and had a great experience! We were greeted with a smile! The atmosphere is inviting and very comfortable! Our Waitress was very polite and informed about the menu. She took excellent care of us! The food came to the table together and was hot, fresh, and plated nicely! Could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you!

Stopped in for dinner after a day of hiking at Caesars Creek. Food was pretty just thought it was a little pricey for what it is. Wife had soup and sandwich and French onion soup. Salad was fresh. Sandwich was lower quality club. Soup was a little to flavorful for her liking. I had the Reuben with sweet potato fries and a bowl of tortilla soup. All of my food was excellent again just a tad over priced in our opinion. The server was amazing and attentive. We did share a home made cheesecake for desert. It was very good.
